13/02/2009 · I've burned double-layer DVD's on my MacBook Pro's with Tiger and Leopard with no problems. I agree with the other posters who recommend Verbatim DVD+R DL discs, burned at 2X speed. I also agree with the other posters' suggestions to repair permissions (from the Leopard DVD.) You also may want to rebuild your hard drive with DiskWarrior.... HandBrake, like Mac the Ripper, treats the DVD as a data disk and will, at least on my MacBook Pro, ignore the region code of the DVD and create a file that can be played on any computer. Once again, legality is questionable, but my interpretation of federal law is that I can make a backup of data that I purchase for my own use.
